Hi there. First i lik the new skill a lot. The combination skilling and fithing is nice. But a little remark. When we are doing a quest it is nice to get at the final boss Hermod by the first kill the quest item that we need to finish the quest (That old magic) It is a QUEST . After 30 kills still no drumsticks. I don,t like it anymore. Never been a boss fighter and i prob never will be one. Quest are fun but NOT when you are stuck. A quest should be a Quest and it must have an end for all the people who are playing it. Soo it SUCKS

Ikr, there was a bad luck mitigation added so it's guaranteed after a certain amount of kills. I am at over 30 and still not got the animated drumsticks needed for the quest #pissedoffnow Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Bad luck mitigation is indeed in place with Harmond. Not only that, the quest item is just an "uncommon" drop according to the RS Wiki. It should not be too hard to get, but of course, RNGesus is still involved.

I have not got them yet, and now at 51 kills.

In my opinion that isn't 'uncommon' and the bad luck mitigation is set too high! For a quest item from a level 732. As I state 'My Opinion'

You need to ask the RS Wiki contributors for their "uncommon" finding. Perhaps more RS Wiki contributors are luckier than you.

Besides, level of a mob doesn't show anything at all. It is the actual stats and difficulties of them that matters. Hermod is a GWD1 level boss regardless of its level. For instance, 34 second kill here:

You can have your opinion, but I am showing you the opinions of the others with actual actions, and I can show more even if you or somebody ask for them. :)

Hermod is also designed as a GWD1 difficulty boss. Those are the official words of Jagex, regardless you think they are irrelevant to your opinion:

"Our first boss, Hermod, will be a challenge in your Necromancy journey. Hermod is the more approachable boss of the two - designed to be similar in power to a God Wars boss - and is a repeatable boss fight, dropping items and materials to upgrade your gear."

HELP! I completed the quest but how the heck to I get to Hermod to fight him again?

The ghost that boated you up there can take you there after the quest. Alternatively, you can use the portals in War's Retreat.

Also I am glad bad luck mitigation is in place, though, I would have been more generous with the drop rate. Questing and following a story is fun. 51 kills and no luck? Definitely sounds frustrating due to the item being untradable, no uses outside the quest [that I am aware of], and is basically holding everything up. If current bad luck mitigation is [total kills]/250, I would have gone with [total kills]/25 tops.

In the context of questing/following a story, fighting a boss is a challenge but camping a boss and praying for rng's blessing breaks up the flow of things.
