Why when I want to claim hero pass mission or remove red dot after claiming mission do I have to scroll up to the top?

Press the 'claim' button, or the 'claim all' button, to claim.
To clear the red dot, just click on the mission to highlight it.

This annoys me too.

To get around it, click on the mission itself first, and then click the claim button. This keeps the scroll in place.

This being said, it should be on the list of bugs to be repaired.
