Normally I love, LOVE the holiday events and jagex's work.
But it has gotten ridiculous.
What happened to the days of doing the event and getting the rewards and just having fun?
Now you can spend the time doing the event or rather stressing over it and NOT get the rewards over and over and over. (or buy keys and still not get the rewards).
I have spent so much time smashing pumpkins, hitting the so called 30 second parties and just get junk. Where is the fun in knowing the majority of the player base (including me) will not get the rewards and have to HOPE to make the money to Hopefully be able to BUY the rewards.
Buy the rewards, how crazy is it that we have to BUY holiday rewards.
It is like buying your own Christmas presents.
I hear so many complaints at the parties that I have to ask, Why bother doing the event?

I realize I don't have to, but like most of the player base, I also want the Holiday rewards.

Jagex, Go back to your roots and make events that give everyone the ability to earn ALL the rewards because the way it is now, sucks.

OP, in case if you don't know or remember, we are now guaranteed previously very hard to get H'Oddmebts Store rewards with the guaranteed 25 H'Oddments we get per pumpkin smashed. Check out your H'Oddments Store and you may be surprised how many rewards you may have waiting for you to choose.

I have everything in the H'Oddments store, those are not all of the rewards and those come from keys.
I am talking about the Halloween event rewards your supposed to get from the pumpkins ~ O'Ween, Beret, Ensouled. The ones you have to get based on ~ Luck, not from just doing the event and getting all the rewards like it used to be back in the good ole days.

Christmas will def. be just as bad.

It is no longer about the holiday or reaping "all" of the rewards, it is about the awful grind and sadly lack of fun and I really miss the fun that used to come with all of the holiday events.

They used to be soooo much fun that I looked forward to them and I miss that about the game.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Runescape and all the hard work Jagex does for all of us, but I also miss alot of the fun that used to be :-) .

Thank you again for allowing me to vent my concerns, I really appreciate forums and other players input on concerns and ideas.

I just saw that too, how messed up is that!!!!!

I have hundreds saved and know others that have more.

Now I say, this is the most UN-PLANNED Halloween event in the history of RS./
They could have warned us not to save them AND increased the drop rates of the items since we couldn't just do the event to get them.

It is sad that these events are getting worse by each year.

I REALLY Loved this game but the bad taste is growing sadly.

The
Gourd gorger gobstoppers
in my bank, about 880 of them, say they expire in 2d 20h 43m — as of this writing .

However, they no longer work because it's now Nov 6th and the Event ended.
Why is that? What was the point of putting a 3-day post-event expiration date on any of that stuff if they all actually expire at 23:59 Nov 5th — and not 23:59 Nov 8th ? Totally unnecessary.

GTFO to those party poopers :(

Although, during this Event, I did feel a good sense of community with the regulars I run into here on my home world but with whom I don't ordinarily interact with.

P.S. I put in a bug report about the Gobstoppers just in case it's a glitch.

Very poor planning on Jagex's part.
I hate to think this is a taste of the future of Runescape events.
I really try to be optimistic when it comes to RS and Jagex but this event really was rediculous.
All the time and effort to get nothing now the early ending of the gobstoppers, SMH.....

My love of holiday events has been slowly fading and this event gave it a bigger bump.

I just hope they don't ruin the Christmas event or next summers beach, my 2 fave events.

They fixed the Gobstopper! I'm using it as we speak — just in case they change their minds.

Jagex didn't always give ALL the rewards to players in every event since 2001. Most players got absolutely no item rewards in the first few Jagex events that gave out party hats, Halloween Masks etc randomly. We also had other Holiday Events like Summer Beach that we didn't have in 2006 when you started. You should keep in mind we have far more events, including seasonal events in RS3 than RSC/RS2. Your expectation was just not what the actual facts.

Even if you had all the H'Oddments Rewards from TH, you could still buy Wrath Walk override token from the H'Oddments Store and trade them, in case if you don't realize.
