I notice some differences in the Jagex launcher. Loading application resources hangs for an extra 10 seconds about 1/4 of the way through.

After that it loads a blank white page with a black box in the upper left corner. Then it goes to the login screen. The whole process is slower than normal.

The good news is the screen doesn't flash anymore. The actual game is running great, as always.

same problem but it with the game client, the application resources start to load than error.

Have to reinstall the client, The client doesn't receive updates via from jagex so you have to manually download the updated client from the website if the client itself is broken, Found that out from a friend.

The "upgrade" to Open GL 3.0/3.1 appears to be causing issues for quite a few people.

Once you manage to log in, go to your graphics settings and drop them down. I was able to stay in-game and actually complete my game session with the graphics set to Low.

This should allow you to at least play until you can update your drivers.

I hope the Sept 12 update is not complete because my steam launcher still doesnt work and the jagex launcher doesnt work either. I still get the error message on the steam launcher that I have to find an app to open the game and the jagex launcher screen flickers badly to the point that the screen is almost black when logging in. Please fix this problem!!!!

I am like many who may need to change their computers/ graphic drivers.
It is just a pity Jagex didnt feel the need to email players a few weeks in advance of what is a major update to give us time to make changes well before the update.
Now I cannot log in at all.
Launcher tells me I need to use compatability mode so I chose yes to that.
Still does not work, game is not responding.
Now tells me I am in compatability mode, do I want to switch to normal mode.........
Nothing works, hey ho happy days.
