It would be nice if the plank box could hold refined planks and frames in same amount as planks.

That I think will happen. Remember, Mod Jack compared Fort Forinthry to the Infernal Puzzle Box. Perhaps we will be tasked to do something soon to upgrade our Fort Forinthry rewards. Plank Box upgrades are one of the many goodies I am thinking about.
