Yeah I will wait a while. It seems like there are plenty of people online, so the game servers are staying up for now. If they can make it 15 minutes past the hour they don't have to worry about rolling back the wilderness flash special event. :p

Edit: actually a bit more than 15 minutes. I somehow forgot it takes time to complete the events. lol

Look out!

PSA: Very shortly, (Approx 2:20 BST) we will be rebooting the login servers to help solve the issues players are currently facing. We would advise all players to stop any dangerous activity immediately and avoid hopping worlds in the meantime.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

There is the final update. I guess my attempt at 14:25 forum time was early, but the next one was after. And it is still online now.

UPDATE - 13:29 Game Time, We're happy to report the reboot is complete and the game worlds are coming back online! As of 13:29 Game Time, players should be able to access game worlds again.

If anyone wonders why this is so important, the game has regional login servers that hook you up to the game. If your login server is down you get to sit there and watch 30,000 other people play.

It only happens to people in that region, so it might not be noticed for a while, until someone logs in/out or world hops.

The best thing is to get word out as soon as you confirm the offline message, and it is still there a minute or 2 later. These don't usually fix themselves. Today was convenient because update day, but off hours you want to post about it somewhere. If someone already posted, jump on, because that adds the weight of 10 people who haven't posted.

It's also important to post the region of the login server you use. Some might not want to post their location, but it's a wide area, generally matching the regions listed on the world select interface.

If you do post about a login server down and it comes back up, you are a bit responsible for also posting that part of it. To then lower the alarm.

If the login servers are down, they are down for reason(s). I don't know if any "alarm" will help or deter it, or any information will make a difference. Anyway, if you want more precise information, the login servers affects not just "30,000" RS3 players, they affect OSRS players too. In regard to "dangerous activities", FSOA/Animate Dead changes aren't any different than other updates including Forestry Beta Worlds.

BTW, OSRS Forestry Beta World seemingly are still having problems, in case if OP and the likes think such information/alarms are important for us RSOF users to know. :)
