Imagine having a homepage to post this stuff on but using an external site instead :|

It was specifically called out in yesterday's update newspost:



Maintenance activities that are ongoing are also always on Jagex's Support Centre, there is a banner along the top of it indicating the maintenance. It isn't only advertised on external sites.

Thank you, ApplejuiceAJ. I missed that notice, while skipping through the patch notes yesterday. Like the OP I always come here to the "Updates" Forum first, when there is a count down like this morning. Panicked at first, but all is now well. :)
