Most important thing first, this update features a MAJOR BUFF.

Clicking a Whirligig Scarab that's far away will no longer cause cause you to run around the oasis pool. The first Whirligig Scarab in a stack will now always succeed.

No further words can describe the goodness.

The main new Halloween feature to be aware of is the Famine's Feast BOOst. It doubles the successful collection from 3 to 6. There are also BOOsts for the other events. But priority number one should be to buff our AFK contributions.

The new mini-quest can be started by talking to Luna, a super tired werewolf(or possibly dogman) located in an open area EAST of Death.

For the PRO Trick or Treaters who want to be efficient:

The NPC Fame is located near the Vampire coffin from the noob quest. I see y'all running around up there. :P

Edit: Getting the cannon upgrade first is a lot more fun than AFK gardening.

For the onion picking event it would be cool if there was some sound indicator for when the correct vegetable is about to switch. Like in advance, a warning. An indicator. A call to action.

If anyone thinks I am counting the number of shouts and moving based on that, you severely overestimate how much brainpower I apply to my gardening.

The produce collection boost is as delicious as one could imagine it to be. I'm thinking more destruction is in order, so it's a choice between skeleton bashing and cannon blasting.

Leaning towards the explosive action, since it is a much needed improvement.

While mindlessly blasting creatures of dubious origin, I couldn't help but think how much more player friendly the game has suddenly become.

That event was super annoying with the delays. Now it is fun and rewarding. I'm all aboard for buffscape. I might not be super interested in rewards, but if I can somehow steal a buff I am at least going to check it out on the wiki.

Now I am interested to check out the other BOOsts.

Of course, it's a good idea to get some time with the current, unbuffed and unfriendly version before acquiring said BOOst for comparison purposes.

Cannon-blasting could use some method of scorekeeping. It's like I blacked out and destroyed their entire species.

But somehow that is cool because they drop out of the sky, into the water, before storming the beaches. I'm guessing there is nothing to stop them from dropping directly onto my head. Their tactics are weak, their refusal to adapt will be their undoing.

Divination fans should prepare themselves for disappointment. I have found my first BOOable BOOst.

Death's Fastness promises additional souls to collect. Only problem is they doubled up a spawn and the gap is still empty.

I reckon they wanted to turn RIGHT at Albuquerque. Seen it a million times. :-)

The dog bone upgrade increases the target area. Now the 'so close' areas 1 tile away also uncover the bone.

It seems like there is a pattern to the bones, not many locations but I already spend way too much time IRL dealing with things left in the yard by dogs. This event is irredeemable.

Also, I just had an issue where I was logged out of forum while typing a post. The login process didn't seem to be able to get me back here, it was an endless loop. I tried backing out to recover my text and I got an Access Denied warning.

So I guess that part works right. If there was a flag in the system that was me attempting to access my in-progress post.

Edit: I'm pretty sure I clicked to preview the post when the problem happened. I was testing some colored text to make sure it fit right.

The skeleton invasion also doesn't improve a whole lot. It's 13 spooky tokens for dropping the entire group of skeletons.

Overall it's a great improvement for the AFK events. The wisps could be enjoyable if they get straightened out. The combat and digging events probably need more tokens as a reward for those who enjoy doing them.

Cauldron is a lot of fun with the brand new bluff. We can pick 6 items at once instead of 3 now. Nice AFK herblore xp without the needs of costly ingredients (and cooking xp too), especially in FSW world when we can run our main around the spooky Gielinor in the main game.

If this event returns again, and I am here to play it, I would REALLY like to see the 2 trees in the southwest burnt to dust.

The hidey hole tree is bigger than the town of Lumbridge. It could just be a stump and serve the same purpose. It blocks the ghosts visually and collects the occasional mis-click.

The smaller tree to the southeast of it would get kicked over as soon as I walked in there. Yep, it might look sturdy but that is dead wood. It would fall right over.

Maybe some smaller and more attractive decoration could take its place. Like a statue of Morn. Or Morn.
