What Maikeru actually told us:

- He is not quitting RS3 by any means.
- He is just taking a break to play other games.
- He will continue to make RS3 content.
- He will return to play RS3 when new content is released.
- He is taking the approach of other players who play different gams, such as A Friend who went from OSRS to play RS3.
- He also mentioned Waydots who was an OSRS player, but he also play RS3 as well as other games.

He also said his going to play GIM in OSRS. This implicitly told us he is not participating in the crumbled OSRS economy. This also disproved MTX in RS3 caused him to "quit" (which he isn't in his own words) as certain people misinformed us, as he could just play IM in RS3 where MTX wouldn't matter.

RS3 content creators streaming OSRS doesn't seem to help OSRS content viewership from continuing to plummet. The "new" OSRS streamers may be gaining viewership but that's only in the expense of the OSRS streamers.

There aren't any observable RS3 players going to play OSRS neither, as OSRS concurrent players continue to dwindle downward on its own.

More actual facts and real state of RS3 and Maikeru:

Not only is Maikeru not quitting RS3, his wife is evidently still playing and streaming RS3 today. Neither are Maikeru's clan quitting RS3. In fact, there seem to be even more players on RS3 now than before.

OP and the likes, what's happening and why is the actual state of the game not like what you think at all?
