Jagex has made such a great game. There have also been great stupidities. The loss of forums is now the most asinine of many dumb moves. Trim it down if you must. but to lose it altogether is simply stupid. Genius has limits. Stupid doesn't.

who knows it maybe being replaced entirely with the new website overhaul thats happening.
If that were the case they would/should have mentioned it. This appears to be a cost cutting move as the player count is dwindling.

Probably not a new forum, but something with even better functionalities than the old RSOF.

Old forums died in many, many games too. Some of them may come back with something their communities like better, so not all hopes are lost.

A streetlamp dies, another night is over but a new day is always dawning.

When the new Jagex platform comes, the RSOF will be a memory, but a new "forum" may begin.

No more RSOF? Too bad and I know how bad some users may think... but perhaps this sunset will open a new exciting age!

Almighty Saradomin! Welcome a new dawn on this horizon! :)

Like Sc Jw said, wouldn't they have mentioned it, even faintly, that they plan on creating a newer version of the forums, or something similar to them? I also agree with op, trimming the forums is an alternative they could have chose...instead of savagely closing them

I clearly wrote I am expecting new and better functionalities from the new platform, not a forum or anything "similar".
