Well this is a bummer, I thought it would have been fixed with the rewriting of the OpenGL part of the AMD driver.

O well, i keeping my fingers crossed for 23.8.1 in the next 2 weeks.

Great news to players on some AMD Graphics products, although I am not one of them.

This news is interesting though, as it at least tells us some of the "RS3 bugs" are actually bugs of OEMs they rely on. Jagex will have to wait for the OEMs to fix them on their ends.

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics and no problems whatsoever.

There are limits to what Jagex can do if manufacturers do not upgrade their firmware in an efficient or timely manner.

I believe the problem (AMD's problem, not Jagex's) only happens to very few users occassionally, and Jagex users are not even a drop in the ocean in AMD's customer base, so almost nobody even noticed.

Anyway, this is the first time I heard of this AMD graphics device bug too, although I am an occasional (once in a blue moon to be fair) victim of the stupid Intel integrated graphics bugs that affect a broader playerbase of Jagex.

I can confirm the latest driver update had absolutely zero impact on crashing. If anything, the situation has gotten objectively worse. In addition to the frequent and constant crashing, the hangups as described above are also occurring. Except instead of lasting ~30 odd seconds, it's permanent and functionally another crash as I have to kill the process in task manager. I really wish the only functional driver didn't predate my GPU.

What's worse is I recently had to have my OS reinstalled and I went from crashing very rarely to, at minimum without exaggeration, 16 times an hour. The struggle is real.

Perhaps you should file a report with AMD.

Rocket League
players are being plagued with "intermittent corruption" when bloom is turned off, for example, on cards like the RX 6900 XT.

This article more than confirmed it is an AMD issue affecting multiple games, Jagex and the other games don't seem to be able to fix it.
