Meanwhile the runescape forums will delete your posts if you say that somebody is being annoying.
You can type 20 paragraphs of perfectly well thought out argumentation, with precise and rule abiding verbiage, but then if you said somebody was being a troll or used the term idiot once, nope whole post is deleted by a moderator.
The runescape forums are so insanely stifling that users have made it a sport to dance around the rules for the last decade.
Extremely well-said. I used to be incredibly active on the Forums (I still miss the old brown theme!) but the over-moderation and excessive compartmentalization (why is "RuneScape Lore Discussion" a separate sub-forum!?) made this place needlessly complicated.
I'm more of a fan of reddit's approach where, for the most part, the community decides what's acceptable behavior.

It's strangely reassuring that at the end of RSOF, still the same flamebaiting posts are made. RSOF will not go down quietly.
I apologise, the guy worked for months to get a thread of mine derailed and locked by posting on it 161 times despite being asked not to. Whilst it was against the rules, he done this slow enough to get my thread locked without any action being taken against his account.
He now wants to move on that chapter, likely to prevent further investigations of which I will be willing to co-operate in.

I almost never have my posted hidden or deleted and i havent been banned in ages. This is the only forum on the internet i feel i can actually argue.
tbh yes.
as people may know, ive been in many heated discussion. the only times posts get hidden is when they dive out of context of the argument and dive into personal attacks not the actual topic at hand.
funny how the people who say its strict are the ones that did that, shock horror. lolol
Mate, dont start getting argumentative now, i have watched you for years running to fh snitching on everybody, "shock horror lolol" are words you just borrowed from others cos your beloved fh is pointless now.
Im not getting argumentative at all
Yes i use the forum help thread for what it was designed for. Getting rid of posts that are not helpful to the topic etc. So yes i do use fh there is nothing wrong with that

Shock horror is a common phrase being used for a very long time
Amusing all these people who ive never seen jumping on the forums complaining about power abuse and how they were wrongfully banned. lel maybe obey the rules they are not strict.
