---[Before I go, to help you out]----

Current players on OSRS that are online RIGHT NOW is at 88,000 players

RS3 has 28,000 players .

------>>>>>> These are the numbers that matter <<<<<<------
Looking at those numbers we all know that your argument is at its mildest '
being flawed
' if we take into consideration that '
there have been created over 320.000.000 accounts
'.
I can't give you any exact numbers but we can clearly conclude that '
many players throughout the World
' do love to play RuneScape more than you or anyone else can think of.
Many players do like '
RuneScape 3
' and many players do like '
OldSchool RuneScape
'.
Both Communities are not interested in battling about who is the biggest ... we all know that there's one thing that does trigger us from the very first beginning ... '
RuneScape
'.

So regardless of who is the biggest ... both are loved from top till bottom ... forever.

What "well known credible source"? For the record you still haven't shown us any "graph".

How does number of players online RIGHT NOW in 2022 have anything to do with Jagex 2021 Financial Report????? :D

Concurrent players obviously don't tell the whole story when it comes to a company's revenue and profit. One paying customer is far better than over 9,000 concurrent bots and free loaders who don't pay Jagex a pence. We have seen that in Jagex 2020 financial report already. OSRS had record peak concurrent players while RS3 didn't but the reality is RS3's revenue grew by 18% while OSRS's only grew by 6%.

"The report notes that 2020 saw a 10% increase in overall revenue with just a 7% increase in subscriptions, while microtransaction earnings rose by a significant 38%.
Overall, RuneScape saw product revenue grow by 18% and OSRS grew by 6%
. Jagex notes these growth figures were spurred on by content updates like the addition of Archaeology and RuneScape’s Steam launch."

Jagex has finally posted their full 2021 financial statement to Companies House. We can click the link to the right of
"28 Oct 2022 Full accounts made up to 31 December 2021"
on this official UK Companies House Jagex filing page to view it:

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/03982706/filing-history

The most significant information on top of the record 2021 revenue (pages 3 and 4 of 60):

(1) Net profit of the company as a whole
decreased by 5%
comparing to 2020.

(2)
RS3 revenue increased by 20%,
which is even bigger than the 18% grew they chalked up in 2020. This is a very pleasant surprise to me as I was thinking about 10% due to pull back from the covid-19 boost in 2020...

(3)
OSRS revenue decreased by 7%
, comparing to a 6% grow in 2020. This is a bigger drop than -2% I expected.

The verdict is out. Jagex's overall business advantages have been shrinking the past 3 or 4 years, with net profits regressing in 2 consecutive years. The company's respectable grew in 2020 and 2021 were pretty much most of the works from RS3.

RS3 revenue went up 20%?!

Yes, it surprised me RS3 was so strong.

It was the best of time for RS3's revenue growth, it was the worst of time for OSRS's revenue growth.

Still, Jagex was able to have an OK revenue growth of 4% in 2021.

20% doesnt mean much if is 20% of a small number. The growth might be big percent wise but it might still be less than lets say 5% from a better Runescape era.

They are at the BEST Runescape era in 2021 in term of revenue.

"Leading UK video game studio Jagex, developer and publisher of the award winning RuneScape franchise, has announced its seventh successive year of growth - with revenue reaching £124.86million for 2021. This growth was fuelled by its flagship franchise RuneScape reaching its highest ever number of paying members, cementing the significant gains made during the coronavirus pandemic."
