Please can anyone tell me if Taraket the necromancer in Elite Dungeon3 drops Black Stone Heart if he is fought in story mode or does he just drop it in hard mode only.

The wiki says its on the drop table, and does not specify story vs normal (which means drops for both).

Have done Shadow reef several times now and the only thing I have received was the ancient book. I does appear that you don't get any drops from any of the monsters you kill.
