Hello, first of all I’m sorry if my English is not perfect, I hope I can be understood easily.
I’m an old player (2008-2010) and I just recover my account, I think I m pretty high level almost everywhere but I don’t know what to do, I have no money and no stuff and I wonder what I can do for ( in a first time ) make money ? I m combat level 103 and overall 1669, I know I don’t give much information but I did not know how to upload screenshots here. If maybe a good soul can add me in game and take the time to explain to me how it works now would be soo useful for me… And if I can help in return later it will be a pleasure
Hello there and Welcome Back! If you are in need of ideas on how to make gold, you might want to try looking at the Money Making Guide on the wiki (
https://runescape.wiki/w/Money_making_guide
) - my personal favorite for my f2p alt is making Rune Arrowheads, as they are in high demand and relatively profitable. Btw, the fletching skill is now f2p, so you can make your own ammo for ranging.
Speaking of the wiki, did you know that you can access it from in-game? Simply type "/wiki <SEARCH PHRASE HERE>" (replacing the search phrase of course) and it will open up a new tab in your preferred web browser.
Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?
"I’m an old player (2008-2010) and I just recover my account"
Most definitely OSRS didn't exist at that time and you just recovered your account so you wouldn't have played OSRS.
You were playing Runescape which somebody referred to as the RS2 era and now your 1669 total levels are with you in the continuing adventures of Runescappe in the RS3 era. Hiscores confirmed this fact that you have 1669 total levels in RS3 as you mentioned in OP.
You have pretty balance skills so it seems like you aren't just a pvmer or skiller. I can't see your quests and lore based adventure involvement so I can't comment on that.
Based on this information, I think you will be the kind of players who will be interested in balanced gameplay instead of being a "pure" or game mode player. This is what the new RS3 skill, which also happens to be the 4th ever combat skill with the unprecedented choice to progress through skilling, comes to mind.
With the fresh new Necromancy economy, everybody starts from the level playing field so you can make gp both way, skilling or killing or both. So I suggest you just to prepare for Necromancy. You can brush off your old skills, say just go with slayer and runecrafting first and get yourself familiar with the old mechanics and prepare for 2023 way of modern skilling and killing. Both slayer and runecrafting are good gp makers. You may want to save bones and get more pure essence for bigger opportunities in a month.

Edit: If i understood good, necromancy does not exist yet but will come soon and if I up my slayer and rune crafting now it will help me when necromancy will be available ?
I have 154/437 quest point btw

It won't affect your Necromancy level but will reacquaint you to both combat and skilling.
Since you left before EOC, you probably want to get a leg up with setting up your action bars. You can learn EOC again with Necromancy but it is better get yourself more familiar with it now.
Just doing old things the new way will inevitably lead you to discover fascinating new RS3 features you didn't even dream of in 2008-2010. For instance, setting up your bank presets and action bars will save you unfathomable amount of gp making time for the next 20 years.

Thanks again for your advices, but right now I think I’m gonna make a new character and re-learn the basics because I’m so lost
This is a good idea too, just stick to Revolution which is as easy as Legacy Mode and only far more useful, accessible with keybind and more useful for not just combat but also skilling.
The new player tutorial should also show you how to setup bank presets that are incredibly useful. You may never be forgetting to bring your antifire potion and dragonfire shield for dragon tasks or wasting 5 minutes searching all over your bank for ingredients to make just a few potions. You can do that effortlessly in RS3 now with just one click.
Let me also remind you, unlike 2008-2010, we can now multilog if our characters don't interact with each other.
In your case, while you make another character to relearn all the over 9,000 fascinating updates in RS3, you can still use our old characters with 1,669 total skill levels to make gp AFK. You can easily make gp with Archaeology and such.
