Welcome back!

- Killing dragons for bones. Opt-out of pvp and kill greens in wilderness.
- Craft water runes
- Every day visit the rune stores, buy the blood runes out, sell them on GE
- Barrows using fire spells, sell the runes
- Farm easy clue scrolls (killing minotaurs or pickpocketing H.A.M.)
- Do archeology
- Do Slayer

This isn't quite true anymore - as long as we don't use our characters to gain an unfair advantage in minigames, or generate wealth in a rulebreaking manner, you are free to trade between your characters. I myself do some level of interaction, such as where my mining/smithing alt (who supplies my clan with rune+3 items for our annual drop party) lets my main (who has members and smelting gauntlets) smelt all his rune bars, at a much faster pace than the f2p char can manage. I meant no interaction between alt accounts (except trading the way Jagex allows under the T&S and Rules of Runescape).

And this should be great news to returning players like OP who may want to relearn the rope with a new character.
