Are you kidding me?

I have recently deleted my facebook and any other meta account I had due to various reasons. One being money, all the commercials, and the fact that they use my info without my knowledge.

I only, and I mean only, use forum and RS wiki. I don't use discord or any other things.

Please, please, do no remove forum!!! I have been playing this game for close to 20 years.

If commercial is one of your main concerns you should not do any online thing at all.

I also only use the forums for penguins and more random things, but the forums as a whole are pretty death.
It does not give Jagex any money and still uses upkeep so this is a natural bussines choice.

Actually, on the contrary if the RSOF was able to bring in revenue from advertisements Jagex might not shut them down for a while.

Remember in early 2000's Jagex ran banner adverts to support their websites and forums?Then when MMG came they added animated adverts to the right of the home page of the official Runescape website.

Now no adverts, so no revenues, and no RSOF.
