The event mentioned in this thread doesn't have anything to do with RuneScape as a whole ... really nothing. It is taken from real life and moulded/welded into RuneScape and The RuneScape Community for reasons that do not originate from RuneScape nor The RuneScape Community.

Quite frankly this whole 'pride/gender-issue' does originate from a time long before RuneScape/Jagex existed and has been taking place in The Entertainment Industry for at least 60 years. Maybe more.

Jagex/JMods should be hosting events that are connected to RuneScape, just like players themselves were doing back in the days, when players were teaming-up together and Jagex/JMods came by and visited these player-made events, solely to promote RuneScape/Parts of RuneScape.
