Is there any better way to carry runes, than having them all in my bag? I like being prepared, but there are quite a lot of runes

Get yourself a rune pouch. Small , Large or Grasping . Got Ralph at ~62.799.196 xp.

They are neat yes, but I don't have 50-75 mil to spare

If you can't buy them, then you'll have to start doing lots of Runecrafting through the Abyss. It's the only way to get the magical threads needed to make rune pouches.

And if you want the grasping pouch, you'll have to kill Croesus too.
