suppose i make an upgrade that requires rations while with a tier 5 citadel. would minions fill the rations bar, or would i need to upgrade to a tier 6 citadel to even MAKE the ugrade?

I've never tested this myself, but according to the Wikia page, it should work.

"Minions can stand in for any resource, even if the skill plot for that resource has not been built. This is most likely to arise in a tier 6 citadel that has yet to build a barbecue. Minions gathered can still be used for rations, provided that the above conditions are met."

I believe you have to have t6 before you can make rations. I never tried it with minions but I did use the avatar cap before I had the cooking plot built. Owner Scape Artists Clan Recruitment Thread
