I've been enjoying married life, taking care of my husband, and helping him fix up our house =)

Aside from that, I've been working quite a bit lately =)

Glad to hear you're working on finishing your degree, that's wonderful! =)

It's kind of long. But, it might be worth a read. haha

My memories of RSB are finally beginning to fade so I think it's about time I put them down. Not just for those whole are still around but, for myself as well so I don't lose them to time.
I started playing over 9 years ago. I was and still am an average player. When it came to RSB I lucked into my position. I still remember my first clan, "Da Mafia" which was led by Lvpersons. I didn't know it then but, in my opinion he became one of the greatest clan leaders RSB would see.

My memories are fuzzy but, I still remember the PK trip we went on and all of dying losing our precious rune armor. After respawning in Lumbridge our Co-Leader who's name is lost to me offered to craft nature runes to sell and replace our lost items if we mined the essence. We worked late into the night until almost everything was replaced.

This one act defined what a clan was to me. It wasn't about the warring, pking, politics. It was about working together to achieve a goal.

Eventually, I left Da Mafia. I'm not sure why I probably could have road on Lv's coattails for quite awhile. Yet, there was something wrong. I wanted to do more than just follow. There was simply something missing.

For a year or so I wandered. Not sure of what to do.

Eventually, I wound up joining The Emerald Knights. It was a newer clan, not at the top of the boards. It had potential. It had a solid leadership between Tucan Mann and Hasimar. I was there for a few a months before Hasimar left and promoted Twinklepawws and myself to our leadership positions.

Being a newer clan and not exactly a powerful one we opted to join into The Red Storm Union. We were never a politically active clan. Only enough so that we could have the occasional clan war. I never thought we would ever stand for anything.

As a clan leader I focused on my members I didn't care for the politics and infact completely forgot that we were part of the RSU. It simply wasn't important by my definition of a clan. It did nothing for us.

This is why it caused such a shock to me when we came under attack from Lady Foul and several other clans for our participation in the union. Though, in all actually we were just a small name on a forum post. This admittedly angered me. I saw it nothing more than an excuse for infighting in the RSB community. These unions had no power over the game.

It was not long into the threats I was voted in as the leader of the RSU and thus could no longer ignore the politics of RSB. I had several large clans crying for war against me and my clan. Telling us we would be hunted down and our events crashed.

"Was this any better than whatever Blue Raven had done?" "What did he do?" To this day I can't answer those questions. I still do not know.

But, none the less I had to handle this or my clan would be destroyed. I did this with a simple philosophy. Unions were useless and had no power and a clan with strong enough bonds could no be "trolled" into submission.

We were challenged to war 1 man vs all of the RSU clans. I gave the order not to go. Not because, I was afraid. No, it was because, it held no point. This would no strengthen any clan or serve any valid purpose. I heard some clans disobeyed my order and went to fight him. I'm not sure if that was true or just a rumor. That too is lost to time.

Either way the conflict on my end was resolved over the next few weeks when I finally had convinced Lady Foul that her attack was meaningless and her motives against TEK and I unfounded in any real fact.

Yet, still I could not sit idlely by as these Unions tarished so many clans into thinking that they were nothing without power. That power and numbers were necessary to survive in RSB.

So, I teamed with Hasimar one final time. We said that we wanted to destroy all unions. That was not the true purpose. The purpose was to show that unions and "anti-unions" really had nothing to do with clans in their current form. After a few debates and admittedly flame wars we were shut down by Jagex with a nice big sticky in the forum.

There was no defending what I believed in any longer without losing more than I could give. I walked away from RSB. I tried to come back several times. But, my fondness for clans had been tarnished. My motives changed with all of the information I had gained and could not forget. Maybe, back then it was just ignorance is bliss.

Rebel,

I'm not so sure you remember me, as we never particularly talked all that much (I don't think, anyway. It's been a while.) However, it seems you're the only semi-active person around here who might be able to help me.

Do you know who, from the old RSB is still around? I'm thinking about starting a little project if I can get enough of us.

If not, I understand. We're 5 years removed from "The Good Ol' Days."

Thank you for your time.

Now, why in the world would I not remember you Stormy?

I may be old, but not *THAT* old! ROFL! =)

There are several people still around here, even if they don't post upon the forums here daily.

A project of sorts, you say?

Now that sounds interesting =)

Well, a bunch of people seem to be returning at the same time (for reasons unbeknownst to me.) Those people, like me, and are probably lost and have no idea what's going on. Therefore, I was thinking of making a clan for confused old farts like myself.

The only issue I've run into is that everyone I talk to is already in one O_o
