My clan Rimmington Sweepers is two years old next month, but no one has ever wanted to join. The only members are my alts. It is very difficult to compete against other clan when you have no members, and it doesn't help that we are stuck with the default clan banner on our clan page due to the clan banner bug. It can be falsely believed that we picked it on purpose because of the letters R and S. This gives a wrong impression that we are lazy and just picked the default banner, although we have spend a lot of time customising it.
People join for all kinds of reasons, it's not always just because of the clan icons. Some people have joined my clan became of its clan name. One of the funniest is someone joined after we discovered our shared love for a cup of tea.
Personally it really does come down to how you recruit. I've found talking and getting to know someone works well. You could ask them to guest and they may join at a later date.
What is the requirement to join your clan? if you don't mind having F2P/low levels you can always go to W3 and recruit.

Also, some sadist Zamorakian Fmod locked one of our our main threads on the forums.
I can't really comment on that, I can't find your thread, but a thread isn't locked without good reason. If you feel the action of the F Mod who took the action was wrong why not report it on the
Forum Moderation V2.
thread?

I can promise fun bumming events at Anja's house if people join. I need some tips for recruiting. I'm currently F2P, but I unsubscribed because of the clan banner bug and I would resubscribe if they fixed it.
I can understand the frustration
- the web tea are busy with mobile and other projects and the banner bug is classified as low priority. We just have to wait it out.
This thread is locked as this is not the place to complain about the actions of Forum Moderators. If you have concerns or issues with that, that needs to be taken up in the
Forum Moderation Review
thread.
If you wish to repost the thread, just to ask for recruitment advice, you are welcome to do so.
