Taking over inactive clan name

So my clan is planning on doing a reorganization very soon which entails starting a new clan so we can re-brand ourselves under a new name. The clan name that I'm trying to secure for this seems to be currently taken, however I cannot find it on the clan search page. I'm currently guesting in the channel so I know that it does actually exist. Can someone possibly shed some light on what might be going on?

It's possible that this clan has been de-listed from the hiscores because it has less than 5 members. However, regardless of whether that clan is active or not, Jagex does not release names of inactive clans.

This may be done at some point in the future, but I can't make any guarantees about it. :( ~ Sicariu
