I wasn't 100% sure where I should post this but here goes. My clan has recently had some setbacks i.e. lots of our high level players as well as high ranking members have been inactive in recent times. I've been left with whats left and I cannot run this clan by myself. I'm really looking for anyone who may want to help me rebuild and put the effort in. I'm willing to give up leadership of the clan if required as I don't really like leading.

The clan is called 'Shatter' its a decent clan, t7 cit, good community etc. I'm happy for people to visit but please leave this out of the cc as it I haven't told anyone. I would prefer you talk directly to me.

Thanks Goaty

Do you not have anyone already in clan who wants to help?

You have said theres a good community, but doing all this - potentially giving the clan to a complete stranger, surely wont go down well, and could tear the clan apart.

Doing this isn't something you should take lightly, once you pass ownership on, you can't take it back, no matter what happens.

Talk to the people you have in clan and explain the situation to them. See if one of them wants to help or take over responsibility, and work with what you have.

I'm more than happy to help out if theres anything you/they need to know about running a clan.

I agree with Kera. The best place to post for leadership team positions is on your clan recruitment thread or on a thread on in the private forums attached to your clan web page , allowing those already in your clan to express an interest in promotion.

Another option is to keep an eye on the 'Looking for Founders?' sticky those who catch your eye, to see if they might be interested in helping you rebuild, rather than starting out on their own. (Just remember that you may not post on the sticky to advertise open positions in an established clan.)

To help with inactivity, you might consider having an activity check/inactive sweep, and demoting those ranks that have not been around for some time. That will let you see who you really have left to help you out. Again, make use of the recruitment thread or your clan's private forums.

Plan some events just for fun and building morale: A game of tag around the Ape Atoll agility course; a beach party, either at the Lumby Summer Beach, or fishing a the new & improved Catherby (after tomorrow's update); KBD trip with a silly hat required; cap together at citadel.

I understand what you're saying and thanks for all the help. I've definitely considered these options. I just don't see any of our current members wanting to or having the experience to lead. I'm not willing to give up the leadership straight away of course as trolls will be trolls.

Just on the community comment, the community is lovely but the clan is too laid back for most to even realize and as I said before I'm aiming for someone to help me out to start off with at least.

Idk if any of them will happen upon this forum thread, but this seems pretty public for a 'please don't tell my clanmates' post, lol.

That said, they may not have leadership experience, but you could create sub admin positions, maybe start with avatar wardens as a job. Event hosts. Give them 1 category.

The bug thing I wanted to say though, is that someone who may have run 15 clans may have more experience, but they don't know your clan/community. It'll upset the apple cart if you just recruit someone to take over without at least talking to them .

I mean, your post seems to say: "I don't know... if any of them would be interested."

If you do not talk to them, they will not be able to voice any interest. Maybe they do not know there's a chance to grow in leadership in the clan. They obviously like the clan or they wouldn't be there.

But if I was in your clan and interested, then found this thread, i would actually feel really weird about approaching you to take part now, as I would figure you wouldn't want my help, since you chose to recruit help from an unknown person versus clanmates.

I hope what I said makes sense.

All clans are different! Good luck!
