So a little over 3 years ago i started a clan with a few friends.. i quit for those 3 years. Now that i am back i realize they have also quit.

Basically i am stuck in this clan, i am the owner and for some reason it will not allow me to make any changes to the clan whatsoever.

I would really like to join another clan asap so if someone can give me some tips that would be great.

Hi,

That's strange that you say you can't do anything as the owner rank. Are you sure the permissions aren't disabled? As the Owner, you can enable/disable your own permissions.


Since you're looking to leave your clan, clans cannot be left without someone in the Owner's position because that's the way they're coded. You have two choices to leave your clan as the Clan Owner.

1. Kick the other members of the clan, and then go to the Clan Scribe in the Clan Camp south of Falador to ask for your clan to be disbanded. This will delete the clan.

2. Promote another clan member to Deputy Owner, and then attempt to leave the clan. With someone in the Deputy Owner position, they will automatically take the Owner's position if the Clan Owner leaves.

If you don't want to delete your clan and are having trouble assigning a new Deputy to the clan, you need to go into Clan Settings to the full list of Clan Members, click on the arrow to the right of the person you want to promote, set their new rank as Deputy Owner, and save the changes.

Please don't use this option. While it will successfully remove you from the the clan, it will then leave the new owner in a worse postion. Once a clan has less than 5 members, they wont be able to make any changes to the clan permissions or anything else.

If all your other clan mates are inactive, then kick them from the clan and leave yourself.
You need to be in the clan chat channel in order to do this - then click on the clan settings, then clanmates - the arrow to the right of each persons name will enable you to kick them . You should be able to leave without speaking to the scribe if you are the only member left but if not then go to the scribe to disband the clan.

Too much to quote, but I agree with Kera. I should have explained that a bit more in my post.

This picture is a bit outdated, but the icons are still in the same order. I just like this one because it tells you what each of the buttons does.

To enter your clan chat channel:

1. On the Game Ribbon, hover your mouse over the Community tab, currently the snowman icon, Click on the Clan Icon. This will open up the Clan Chat Screen.

2. On the Clan Chat Screen, click on the funnel at the bottom left to open the options.

3. Click on the 1st option, the chat bubble with a "+" sign in is to join your clan's chat channel.
