And meh i quit for a good few months, didn't even bother looking at oldschool... really wish i'd never logged back on - it physically hurts my heart to see he game in the state it's in

But Kurama, ask most people, or just look at the thumbed up comments on rs youtube vids, and you'll find thousands of comments of people admitting that RS was a massive part of their chidhoods. Certainly was for mine, even put it on my university app - worked too

That being said, if you look in the right places you WILL find good communities

Also not sure what it's like in America (since all the sweets you make ook delicious but taste inferior), but in the UK black jelly beans are nom. Not the best, but i'd go through a bag ;)

I never mentioned anything about it not being a big part of childhoods Furchy :) Hell I myself played since late 04 up until early 2013 but ultimately I think Jagex failed to capture the bigger crowd and keep the momentum going with RS for the 10-18 demographic since about 2007 onwards

Eh I think the game just kept changing for the worse, it was fun while it lasted certainly but there was so many "what was the reason for this" changes that it was painful. Also not having safeguards set against botting when they brought back the wilderness was just so dumb lmao, could've delayed it another month but instead they waited about one and a half years and by that time it was pretty rampant.

Furchow I do not believe I'll be home but if I am I'll try my best.

Game itself is going good but the warring side really took a massive **** l0l. I thought this summer some of the pre EoC RSB ppl would come back making this more active but that didn't happen lol. :|

Ah right, but yeah i agree Kurama, doesn't look like there's a decent supply of fresh blood - probably because runescape is no longer the game you'd play with your friends at the back of a computer class, but meh there;s a bunch of reasons - who knows

Meh Carbon i'm not too sure if the game tself is going well. The youtube community is a ghost of what it was just 6months ago, and eery single guide is so out of date it's not funny. You can't even find one guide for an armadyl gwd solo since the buff

But i won't lie pvm is superior to what it once was (with the exception of the fight kiln/qbd using the old combat system: to those only vorago compares). Being said, to get max dps it's a lot harder than it once was - where the skill used to mainly lie in surviving... that being said, getting max dps barely matters when it comes to beating the boss... only really matters when it comes to beating other people

As far as YouTube vids goes I'll say ppl are more into streaming now than vid making. Ppl stream their playthroughs more often now since it's summer so they have a lot of time in their hands haha. But either way I been seeing tons of livestreams lately. Both EoC and 2007, ppl are leaning towards streaming more than making vids.

I've been back on runescape for several weeks now but this is my first time revisiting the clan discussion board. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I really expected some form of community to exist here. I, naively, thought that as long as jagex could keep the lights on there'd be an active newspaper running.

But like runescape itself, this place has grown into a shell of its' former self. I've been around, skilling, for about a month now and the game seems to be coated in a strange aura of despair. Mind you I've only been skilling, but after visiting various popular clan chats and chatting with other players it seems most optimism has been lost.

Matt, although we're not from the exact same era, you're the only name I recognize here. I was an active rsbian a few years ago; involved in newspaper rankings, union politics, all while grooming a bloated sense of self-importance.

I was looking forward to at least do some lurking, but it seems as though there's nothing to lurk. Is there anything going on that I'm missing? I remember very vaguely that you, Matt, lead a clan that came to early prominence when mine was coming to an end. I no longer have the ego to expect that I'm remembered here anymore but my runescape name was how to skill.
