What is the deal with Cora's log in the island of goshima near pirate Shih the jade spider?

who is cora, and why is her notebook blotted with tear stains?

right now, i'm thinking some dev had much grandeur plans for amanishi and the extensive plot lines she worked really hard on were not implemented in game, and therefore cora is sad.

somebody clear this up 4 me

If you do the miniquests around The Arc, you'll find out who Cora is and what is her connection to Goshima.
