I was doing a quest called The Eyes of Glouphrie, i was up to the part where i fix the machine then i gotta do the puzzle with the coloured shapes, my first number was a 4 and a i needed a red square for it to work but for some reason its impossible for me to get that shape in red and now im stuck and dont knkw what to do, i tried dropping shapes and regetting them from brimstail it didnt work i also tried the exchange machine but it gives me a green circle, please someone help me!

Have you tried having a read of the guide on Wiki? You can find it here:

. It might help explain how it all works.

I'd recommend talking to Brimstail quite a few times, as he can give you quite a few shapes. If he doesn't give you one, you can use the crystal exchanger machine to exchange higher value crystals for ones with a lower value.
