Smithing Kiteshield bug?

Being having this problem for a while now. Normally, after I finished smithing an item. I can click on the anvil, then hit space bar or click "Begin Project" and it will make the same item again. But after finished smithing a kiteshield. I click on the anvil and hit space bar or click "Begin Project", it will be defaulted to square shield. I need to select kiteshield very time I click on the anvil. Is this a bug?

So far, it's the same for mithril, adamant and rune. Do have other bar to test it.
