Leather Armor for Melee

I have always been a leather armor kind of guy and I like the look of it better so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are significant benefits to wearing the bronze stuff besides the leather? I appreciate any help!

The biggest advantage is that when wearing bronze armour, you'll actually be able to hit monsters with melee attacks. If you want to wear leather, you'll have to stick with ranged attacks.

The golden rule is this: you must wear armour that's the same type as your weapon, or your accuracy will be reduced to near zero. (The exception is hybrid armour, which can be used with any weapon but offers less protection.)

If you like the look of leather armor, you could buy Keepsake Keys and put your best looking leather armor in your wardrobe. This way, you will be able to wear any other armor while still having the look of your leather armor.
