seem to have hit a problem with Jed Hunter,

I have been to Whales Maw for Navigator Jemi's task and completed it

Bosun Higgs in wearing her Tetsu Armour

Ekahi has killed me

Standing on the doc at Waiko, Ekahi gives me the Jed Hunter Miniquest option but is still waiting for me to have helped the rest of the crew
Higgs wants to get repairs done
Jemi says the quest is daunting her

Gully gives no Jed Hunter Miniquest option and only says Ready to sail on your word Cap'n, so cant get outfitted with the supplies from Rosie for the expidition

so that leaves me tottaly stuck, i've tried retracing all the steps, supplies, tortle shell bowls, killing Gu Ronin and talking to Ekahi where he killed me, but still not able to progress with Gully

Curious one - it is a bit vague to me, but please go through this wiki step by step guide. Tick the checkboxes, if it makes it easier for you to keep track of progress.

i have followed that guide and completed every step up untill Gully, even gone n=back over it, but as i have done every step theres nothing i can do with Jemi Higgs or EEkahi
it wont let me carry on from that point with gully

I was also still trying to kill The Ambassador to complete Curse Of The Balck Stone Quest,
Having now Killed The Ambassador andcompleted Curse Of The Balck Stone Quest, when i clicked on Gully i got the Jed Hunter miniquest option, so now completed Jed Hunter too

I'm glad to hear it was resolved! It seems the 2 quests are conflicting at some point.

Also stuck on this. Even tried wasting all my supplies to see if that's what was causing it.

I've helped Ekahi, helped Higgs, helped Jemi, Gully just isn't asking me to talk to Rosie.
I'm going to see if completing Curse of the Black Stone will fix it, even though its not a req. Bob says:
