Smithing interface is bugged?

I can't smelt or craft blurite. I've done the quest needed to smelt it ages ago, but no there's no option for smelting it at forges or furnaces. I can't even deposit the ore into the forge/furnace.

If I remember correctly you can't deposit special bars, but you can still do the project, make sure to go the bottom right select blurite bar there and then ''start project''.

I was able to use superheat item to create blurite bars, which i was then able to use at the forge. But currently it seems that I am no longer able to smelt blurite conventionally. Unless I am missing something, it just isn't possible. I've even tried smelting it from my inventory on forges/furnaces and i just get 'nothing interesting happens'.

To smelt Blurite ore into bars, you'll need to have the ore (unnoted) in your inventory. Click "Smelt" on the furnace to open the Smelting Menu. Blurite bars are the first option under "Specialist Ore Smelting" in the center column.

Quite certain that you have to select the bar option even if they're still ores.
