I think I may have a bug in the Archaeology skill.

I seemed to have completed the tutorial without finding the Centurion Dress sword. For the last week I have been grinding to level 70 to restore the workbench to go forward but one of the items can be got from the Stormguard Citadel. This is a problem as I need the Intern qualification to enter the Citadel, therefore stuck at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the monolith to see if you've unlocked the the Font of Life power. If you have it, you completed the tutorial, as in the tutorial you exchange the restored centurion's dress sword for the Mortal Cup, which activates the Font of Life power.

If that's all done, you need to speak with Acting Guildmaster Reiniger in order to advice to the next qualification level

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked the monolith and can see the Font of Life but am unable to harness the power as I have no Chrononotes.

I have spoken to Reiniger but he says I'm not due for advancement to the next qualification level.

You should have received the needed chronotes from the Collector at the guild as part of the tutorial.

If you used the chronotes for something other than completing the tutorial, you'll need to turn in some other restored artifacts to the Collector to earn some more. (Or you can purchase from the GE).

I am sorry but you couldn't have read my other post properly
I never received any notes after the tutorial. I am unable to get the next qualification because I cant meet the achievements needed due to not being able to repair anything due to not being able to restore the workbench etc etc

You should have received them from the tutorial, not after. It sounds like you did not complete the tutorial.

Do you have a soil box? You can only get the soil box after adding the The Mortal Cup relic to the monolith at the end of the tutorial.

- Speak to Acting Guildmaster Reiniger which will give you your first set of tools and tell you to start excavating on the nearby hotspot.

- You will find some soil, materials and an artefact when your progress bar reaches 25/25 (this progress bar is only there for the purpose of the tutorial).

- Return to Reiniger and she will then tell you to screen your soil at the nearby screening station. This is where you get some extra materials and experience that you might have missed.

- Return to Reiniger and you'll be redirected to the archaeologist's workbench to restore your centurion's dress sword (damaged).

- Return to Reiniger.

- Show your restored centurion's dress sword to the collector near the Archaeology Guild who will

reward you for your work with The Mortal Cup and 1,000 chronotes

.

- Head back to Reiniger and tell her about the relic.

- Interact with the monolith.

Activate your first relic (500 extra health)

.

- Head to Reiniger who is now inside the main building to the west.

- Get a free archaeological soil box from Ezreal in the same building, then talk to Reiniger again.

- Tutorial completed!

If you've completed the tutorial then you'll need to speak to Acting Guildmaster Reiniger in the Archaeology Guild. You can use the right-click option 'Check qualifications' to check your progress towards each qualification level. For each new qualification level you need to speak with him to advance to the next.

Right. I never got the notes and had to buy some from the GE. When I talk to Rieniger all they say is where to excavate.

Yes I got the soil box and tools after the tutorial

Right clicked Rieniger to check qualification and not ready to advance.

To advance I need to do some achievements which I cant do because I cant restore anything.

, which requires completion of the Archaeology tutorial. Have you tried all the possible conversation options with Reiniger ?

If you look at your Achievements, is the Qualification - Intern shown as completed or not?

What workbench are you trying to restore? There is an archaeologist's workbench at the Archaeololgy Guild Campus, as well as one at the entrance to each digsite, and none of those need to be restored.

Sorry meant assistant. I checked the achievements also no intern listed.

The workbench in the dig site I'm trying to restore and that asks for a morin khuur. All the others have asked for other restored items like a toy Gollum.

As far as the chats with Rieniger goes the 2 chat options are

" Where shall I dig now"

"What happened to Tony"

Tried all the chat options from there and nothing.
