Big bass sworfish shark

I cant seem to find a definite answer anywhere whether the shark outfit consumes big bass/swordfish/sharks. the wiki says the outfit will not consume big sharks but doesnt say that for the other 2 anywhere in the description or the update log. I found a thread on reddit where someone claims theyre outfit ate a big swordfish. I just dont want to waste time afking if the fish will get consumed.
Also does anyone know if a big catch will display through the chat filter? i have it set so i dont see all the catches and figure a big catch should be important and appear through the filtered setting but am unsure.

Just got a big bass and im not sure if the suit consumes it 'cause i had it set to 'catch' but it does not alert you if youre chat is set to 'filter'. you have to have the chat set to 'on' to see it but I noticed that even though i had porters activated on my gote it sent the bass right to my inventory so that makes it nice. ill test the suit out on the swordfish and see if it eats it.
