Oh yikes that's quite a lot without having the luck to get it; are you 100% sure you haven't gotten it yet & you've double checked your bank for the pet just in-case?

Otherwise just keep at it, you're bound to get it eventually! :o Hopefully sooner rather than later

That is very unlucky although I am slightly confused as to how you have earned 400M experience points (I am assuming that was meant to be 40M)? Nonetheless, I do hope that you are able to get the pet in the foreseeable future.

I'd like to just add on top of what was previously said that using Protean Cogs do
NOT
give you a chance at finding the
Malcolm pet
, so be sure to not be using Protean Cogs when training Invention if you are after the pet.

Yes 400m is correct (i reset my counter every 100m xp) im now at 4 resets and 21.7m on the counter (421.7m total xp gained in invention)
I have 200m XP and have continued to syphon gear/weapons/tools at level 12 trying to get the pet
i syphoned another 9 pieces of gear yesterday and still nothing

Hmm - and you double checked your bank & searched for "Malcom"? My word that certainly is unlucky!

I'm not sure if this is of any help, but this is the information about the chance for a pet as pulled from the Wiki:

"In a purely mathematical format your chance f of receiving the pet on any particular action is

( B /180) X S
------------
50,000,000

Where:
B : is the base experience per action
S : is the virtual skill level. At 200 million experience, a flat bonus of 200 is applied to this value"
