I've recently come back from a hiatus and decided I wanted to go ahead and get 99 farm from 84. It's been two weeks or so and I'm at 92 now doing just herb and tree runs. I do Priff, Ecto, South Fal, Cath and Ardy herb/sunchokes and Fally, Lumb and Varrock trees at the moment.

I was just curious if PoF was a decent source of Exp? I only barely dabbled in it the last time I played and don't really want to bother with it during the time I am on to see if it is at all worth it. If it won't incredibly boost my time to 99 or if it is incredibly time consuming I'd sooner just stick with my basic runs.

I feel like a noob every time I come back to RS after a break so I would greatly appreciate any other advice anyone could give me on farming! Thank you!

Hi there,

I'd say POF is great for passive XP. I used to do all tree runs but it wore me out. Now I just do herb and POF XP collecting.

It's fairly simple once you get the hang of it. Make sure every so often your animals have food, are healthy, and, if grown up, harvest their XP!

If you're up for looking into how POF works, I recommend going to the wiki for learning things like growth stages , animal food preferences , how to treat diseased animals , and how to breed animals .

The Anachronia Dinosaur Farm is also great for XP and even money making (Bottled dinosaur roar).

Hope this helps! :)

Edit: I'm not sure my hyperlinks went through. Here you go: https://runescape.wiki/w/Player-owned_farm
