Unable to recruit a captain

In my player owned port, I am trying to send a ship on a voyage but cannot do this because I cannot recruit a captain.

Captain "Hector Ad Din" is in the bar but I cannot select him or click the "Recruit Crew Member" button because it is greyed out.

I have had this issue myself. I cannot get my first of the two ships i own to go out now, because, while it *shows* that there is a captain assigned, the voyages screen won't let me send out.

I even recruited yet another captain, so I have one without a ship, and still cannot get the ship to voyage. I imagine somehow an old bug must have been reinstated. (note: this only came up because I failed badly in a voyage and lost an experienced captain).

Have you tried switching out the captains?

Are you seeing a certain message when trying to send out a voyage?
