I'll start this off by saying I do not enjoy combat....

Yet I want to create some alchemical hydrix and need rumbling components for it. I bought a "drygore rapier" and augmented it. Now I need to use it in combat until it reaches the lvl of 9, at which time I'll disassemble it for the 20 rumbling components it purports to give me.

I've been told the easiest way to lvl this rapier is to do "ed3 trash runs". I know nothing about these; so will be googling them and searching wiki as well as maybe some youtube videos about these runs.

I've also been told it is best to do these trash runs in groups. I have never really fought in groups and do not belong to any clan; so have no idea how this would work......

I've also been told the ed3 trash runs are not what they use to be due to some update Jagex did to them. Now whether that has to do with the drops or the experiences obtained or both I do not know.

Any help in this task would be appreciated.

I'm not overly a fan of combat either. In fact I rather much suck at it. So for leveling any of my augmented items I just go and do slayer tasks or pick a monster you like killing that has fast respawn rates, or plenty are in a confined area. The more things you hit with it the faster it levels.

AFK'ing abyss creatures within the abyss is great for this; actually it's what I'm doing right now :P . Bring alongside a Bunyip, a restore and a blood fury and you'll be A-OK. For summoning, it's wise to bring a charming imp to pickup the charms, too :P . - (Owner) Ornery Onions -
