WARPED GEM - bug / glitch / quest dialogue oversight ???

Have completed Extinction Quest and did not receive the Warped Gem from Vicendithas at the end of the quest.

Claimed the quest points and lamps etc.

No Warped Gem in my inventory or in my bank.

There is no dialogue referring to the Warped Gem when you speak with Vincendithas.

The achievement for handing in the Pastkeeper Amulet is completed.

I still have my Ring Of Vigour and NO Warped Gem to combine for the passive effect that consumes both items.

Have logged 2 bug reports in last couple weeks and seems sweet F A has been done and no way of knowing if Jagex has even looked into it.

Is there perhaps something else that unlocks to obtain the WARPED GEM ???

Can not seem to find a fix to either reclaim the warped gem or be able to claim it.



RECOMMENDED FIX JAGEX CAN EASILY DO:

1. A dialogue options with Vicendithas about the Warped Gem
2. Make it an achievement so the INVISIBLE BUFF with NO ITEM can be viewed and assessed as being completed. Aussie DAD - Working towards all skills 200m XP

Have you tried visiting Iaia before talking to him about the amulet?

Make sure you talk to Vicendithas in his lab post-quest.

The only other thing I can think of is the possibility that you might have unknowingly dumped it in your bank at some point.

I have completed handing in the amulet and have that achievement ticked off.

I have spoken to Vicen over and over and went through his menu options countless times.

I have checked my bank thoroughly and used the search function and it is NOT in my bank.

Jeez. Just trying to actually help you.

The Wiki states that the gem itself can be claimed after visiting the Dream of Iaia for the first time. Now, while we can't always take the Wiki at its word (As it is inaccurate at times), I just wanted to check. In hindsight, I actually forgot that the person you hand the necklace to is within the dream, so I'm deeply sorry if I made you resort to pettiness.

To answer the question in the OP: no, there's nothing else required for the gem. Even if it's destroyed, you are able to reclaim it from the dude with the silly name. As you stated, you have completed one of the post-quest achievements and exhausted the dialogue, so there shouldn't be anything stopping you.

I can only assume that:

A). You have already claimed the gem and combined it with the ring, meaning that the physical ring you have is simply a duplicate. This seems unlikely, as I wouldn't expect a player of your calibre to forget something like that. I would agree with your idea that it should have its own achievement to help track it.
OR
B). There's a really specific bug related to your account, which isn't unheard of. If so, you have done the right thing in reporting it, but you are highly unlikely to receive a reply as that's not how they roll.

I made the mistake of thinking it was asr you use it for as opposed to rov

Perhaps you did too and thats why can't reclaim.
