Every time I try to combine the Hand of Glory with the Ring of Luck, I start a conversation with Aris. Am I missing something here?

Sorry if I misunderstand, but did you try to finish the conversation with Aris? I remember when I did it i had to talk with her the whole way through before adding the ring.
