im trying to do this miniquest while watching a youtube guide but I'm at the point I need the pylons active and the guy on the guide said it happens once or twice a day how am I meant to get this done if thats the case because I may even not be online.

That's not exactly true. The pylons build up energy as players contribute batteries to them, which can be found while excavating at Kharid-et. Once the energy reaches 100%, the pylons are activated for 30 minutes across every world.

PylonFC can help you track when pylons are about to activate.

I'm still waiting for the pylons to be activated and its been 9 hours its only gone up an est 30% so I'm guessing this guy was right in saying it happens once or twice a day how will I be able to do this if I'm not online it's rediculous

You can get there without waiting on the pylons by activating the shadow anchors. You'll need 80 batteries to do this, for activating all 8 anchors but they'll be forever active allowing you access to the war table without the pylon activating whenever the need arises.

The other bonus is it will fulfill the light and shadow task.
