I found out how to stop bank presets (usually #1, #2, right?) from activating!!!!! And, for some f*ing reason, F1 and F2 also count as pressing #1 and #2 in the bank. Why anyone thought this made sense, I don't know.
But here it is. Each time this saves you 10 minutes of gearing up, you owe me 1m. You can pay me ingame if you meet me.
Edit the presets for 1,2, and 5. 3 and 4 will dump your backpack and gear, respectively into the bank, so they don't work for presets. Kind of inconsistent and there are better choices for keybinds... but whatever. This is Runescape after all.
Anyway, edit the presets and simply un-tick backpack, gear, and familiar. But DON'T hit overwrite. You would think that you WANT to hit overwrite with an empty inventory and gear, but as you have surely noticed, un-ticking backpack and gear then clicking overwrite will just force both of them to be active. Simply un-tick them, and return to the bank. You can exit out of the screen if you want to be sure.
But it seems that just doing that and leaving will just save them that way. Go equip a few logs and a random helmet. Press 1 and 2 to test it. You'll notice that it will only kick you out of the bank!
Just watch - jagex 'fixes' this real soon and even this will become something I can't enjoy.
