Stuck in Evil Dave's quest

Hi,

I'm stuck in the Evil Dave's Big Day Out quest. I got as far as catching 3 rats in the basement but then I had to log out. Now the rats are no longer in my inventory and I can't catch them again because the basement only has normal rats. When I go to the next step in the desert I'm supposed to give a coconut to the guy in the jail but I can't reach him. I can't see any way to reset the quest or start over...

Any suggestions?

No need to worry about catching the 3 rats as this is the correct number required.

In Shantay Pass, after picking up the coconut you should attempt to open the jail cell door, this will start a conversation with the stranger.

The thing is that the rats are gone from my inventory, so I currently have zero and I guess that is why I end up with a problem in Shantay Pass. I can talk to the guy in the jail, and he says he wants something tropical. So I shake the coconut tree, the coconut falls out but I can't give it to him, the game says 'you can't reach that'. I can start a conversation with him again but it never changes, he's still asking for the tropical thing whether I have a coconut in my inventory or not.

I hope that's clear now.

Runelite is currently OK to use but at your own risk :)

Jagex moderators can be identified by their yellow crown and border in the forums.

I get to the part at Shantay Pass, I throw the hell-rat over the Pass inside the coconut at the top of rope, but I can't get down from the rope. There is no option to get down! So, I'm just stuck at the top with no way to continue, I've tried to log out, and have to keep repeating...

Please send help!

Please send help! I can see you've since completed this quest - congratulations! :) Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !
