Welcome to the Recruitment Thread for the Iron Questing Clan of RuneScape, Iron Quest! We are the sister clan to the (regular) Questing Clan of RuneScape, Clan Quest . If quests and lore are right up your alley, but you're not an Ironman, Clan Quest might just be the right fit for you!

Iron Quest is a clan representing every nationality known to play RuneScape. All of us are Ironmen, united by our love of quests and lore. As a clan, we specialise and have a strong interest in completing every quest in the game. Our members particularly enjoy helping others to achieve this goal through skilling and advice. We invite any Ironman, from the novice quester to the Quest Cape owner, to join our community. If this sounds like the clan for you, read on!

About Iron Quest

The Clan Chat channel for Iron Quest is named Iron Quest . Iron Quest was created by longstanding members of Clan Quest, who believed there needed to be a dedicated place for the Ironmen in the questing community.

The original Questing Clan of Runescape, known also as Clan Quest, was created in the Runescape game on November of 2009 by a bunch of questers. After inviting all the “Quest Noobs” they knew, they requested recognition from Jagex and were formally recognized in the Clan Database on December 8th, 2009.

The sister clan "Iron Quest" was created on June 1, 2020. Like the name suggests, we're a clan of Ironmen who are also questing noobs. We enjoy cooperating with our sister clan in terms of events (as long as Ironmen are able to join), but we also have our own events! Think of Ironman PvM masses, completing quests together, or other fun events like Hide 'n' Seek and Cops 'n' Crooks!

There has been much discussion about the value of questing compared to other game content. In our minds there is no contest. The fundamental gameplay in Runescape is adventuring, exploring the lore, and fighting for good (or evil). This - the main idea and objective of the game - finds its primary outlet in quests. Everything else - all the skilling and training - is there only for the adventurer to train to the level of being able to successfully live through the adventures. Skilling is practice - the quests are the real RuneScape tests.

A quester must have ingenuity, determination and imagination in order to complete a quest. Quests open up entire areas, new armour and abilities that expand the depth and breadth of the game. Questers can ride eagles, use fairy rings, and even manage their own kingdoms.

With new quests being added and the minimum skill levels required to complete them constantly rising, Iron Quest is here to help you get that cape. The Quest Point Cape will never go out of fashion!

Like our sister clan, we will help fellow Ironmen in any way possible. While questing is our strong suit, we are definitely not limited to it! The way of Iron is long and hard, and many times particularly odd. You discover a new way of playing the game, wherein you will discover ways to play and enjoy content you probably wouldn't have given a thought if you were a main! We are here to show you this path, and to help you find your home in the Iron world of RuneScape.

To ensure that everyone in the channel has the most fun, certain rules are in place to protect members and visitors to our clan. All participants are expected to follow our clan's rules. All members of the clan are assumed to have read and agreed with the rules. Failure to adhere to these rules can result in consequences varying in severity.

Members

One chevron - New members who have not yet registered on the clan's offsite.
Two chevrons - Members who have completed at least 20% of quests.
Three chevrons - Members who have completed at least 40% of quests.
Bronze star - Members who have completed at least 60% of quests.
Silver star - Members who have completed at least 80% of quests.
Gold star - Members who have obtained the Quest Point Cape.
Bronze cross - Members who have obtained both the Quest Point Cape and the Taskmaster emote.
Silver cross - Members who have obtained both the Master Quest Cape and the Taskmaster emote.

De-ranking isn’t usually done, once you have earned a rank but no longer meet the requirements for that rank, you will be allowed to keep that rank. Of course, this does not apply for those that have left the Clan and are re-applying.

Officers (requires QPC to be promoted)

Gold cross - Emeritus Council (retired Councillors).
Silver key - Guild Council, Honor Council.

(Other ranks are unused)

If you have all the requirements to be ranked up, you will need to contact a Guild Councillor who is online, and they can check the requirements so you can be assigned your new rank.

Requirements to join

- Must be a RuneScape member.
- Must be an Ironman or Hardcore Ironman.
- Must have read and acknowledged the clan’s rules.

Requirements to become a full member

- Must have registered for an account on the clan’s website, as this is where we organize most of our Clan activities.

Steps to join

(1) Join clan chat “Iron Quest” as a guest. Talk to our members and see if you like our community. Make sure you get to know people and people get to know you!
(2) Post an application letter based on the template found below.
(3) After your application is accepted by a Guild Councillor, get in contact with a Guild Councillor in-game to receive your rank.
(4) We require all members to create an account on our clan’s website, which is used as the primary source for intra-clan communication and event coordination. This is also where you can find a link to our Discord server!
(5) Once you have met all membership requirements (see above), you may be afforded full membership to the clan.
