What makes us a better choice than lots of other PvM clans out there?

1. Non-elitist.
That means if we are in a boss fight and you make a mistake or die, no one is going to whine, complain, moan and groan about it. It happens to the best of us. We'll help you understand what you did wrong so you can fix it. Another example. if you don't have the very top end gear, no one is going to be nasty about it. “l000l u don’t have seismics smh wtf" is not something you'll encounter here. We have plenty of great people who enjoy teaching and helping others. I know many clans may say that, but we actually do it.

2. Actually bossing, doing EVERY boss.
I've personally been in many PvM clans as a member and a guest, and almost all of the ones I've tried don't actually go bossing all that much. Compared to most PvM clans I've seen, we boss quite a bit more. With us, we go to Beastmaster Durzag at least 5 days a week, Vorago 3-7 times per week depending on the rotation, and KK and Nex almost daily, and occasional Yakamaru and ROTS trips.

3. Active Discord.
During peak times, we have 20-30 people in our Discord voice chat, with well over 2000 players connected to our server. We also have a Discord music bot, so we play music and goof off and have a good time. We play Cards Against Humanity sometimes. We have some clan members who play other games like CSGO, Rainbow Six, Fortnite, and Yugioh.

4. Minimal conflicts, fair conflict resolution.
As with any online community, sometimes people don't get along. Disagreements happen. We are fortunate enough that "clan drama" is very rare here. Whenever there are arguments, I am very big on solving it maturely and quickly, preferably privately. I do not automatically assume that the person who has been in clan longer or with higher rank is correct. Fairness and respect are more important to me than I can really express in a forum post. You'll be treated well here.

5. Fair ranking system.
I've been in clans before where ranks are based on favoritism. I don’t think the best qualification for leadership is how good of friends someone is with the clan leader.

Cap 2x per rank up to General. OR Recruit 1 person per rank, up to General. New members start at corporal. Recruit rank is reserved. For details of our ranking system above General, go here: Clan Ranking System

6. Active clan leader.
When I made this clan initially, I did not know how much time and effort would be involved. I ended up quitting the clan and passing control to a friend. I went on a search for a clan I liked, but ultimately realized I would not be happy not being the leader. So I did some soul searching. Now knowing how much time and effort would be involved to run a clan, knowing the challenges involved in doing it well, knowing that potentially hundreds of other players will be relying on me to make this clan awesome and keep it going for a long time, knowing the trials and challenges I’d encounter, is this something I really want to do? Am I personally willing to stick to this long-term, ensuring the ongoing health of our clan? I decided that yes, this is something I am fully willing to do. I’m not a clan leader to passively sit by and let whatever happens, happen. I want to actively build a great community of people, and I’m committed long-term to keeping our clan fucking awesome. And I do my best every day to ensure our clan members are treated fairly and respectfully

7. Three avatars, T7 citadel.
Capping not required (not even for admin+). Adding a clan dragon soon!

8. Clan activity rate.
According to RuneClan, our clan is consistently in the top 10 clans in the game for XP gains per day, week, month, and DXP weekend. That's out of ALL clans in RS!

=====Why does this clan exist?=====

Recently, someone asked me why I formed this clan. At the time I made this clan, there were already plenty of successful clans out there. There are even people out there who like to teach at bosses, and there are lots of good communities in the game. So why even bother make this clan?

Three reasons.

1. For years, people have been saying that “RS is dying” or “RS is dead”. People said that about RS when rune armor came out, then when dragon armor came out, then when Barrows came out, then when EOC came out, then when Old School came out… I don’t know if RS is dying or not, and I have no reason to think it is. But personally, I am afraid it might happen someday. This game is a big part of my childhood. My younger brother started me playing RS, and all my other brothers played. Some of my best friends from high school played. I have a lot of memories on this game. I would love to see my brothers and my other friends come back to the game.

So the first reason this clan exists is because I want this game to continue for all of us.

2. When I came back to RuneScape after a long break, I joined a clan. Some guys randomly decided to take me to Kalphite King. They told me I’m the tank, even though I never went before haha. So I go in full seasinger with a reefwalker cape, vampyrism aura, and I camp my merciless kiteshield and virtus wand lolol It took me a while to pick it up, but I got a drygore split on my 3rd kill! And then another on my 10th kill! I had soooooo much fun, and it was a blast!

The second reason this clan exists is because I want to give other people this kind of experience. We’ve taken many of our clan members to get their first ever kills at raids and Vorago. I like to let our new Vorago players deal the finishing blow to Vorago because of the badass cut scene. It’s sooo fun!!!

3. Recently, on the RuneScape reddit, someone posted a video of four guys doing hard mode Vorago. In the video, one of the guys makes a mistake, and the kill is ruined. Then, these guys responded by calling him a “fucking idiot” and labeling the video as “downs” . Then they decided to punish their “friend” by uploading the video to YouTube and then posting it to the RS reddit. I was so disgusted.

In the high-level PvM community, it’s an unfortunate reality that people are extremely nasty to each other. People routinely call each other every name in the book. They tell each other to kill themselves. They say absolutely horrific things to each other. And the people saying this stuff think it’s acceptable to treat other people that way. And the people who are learning a boss or aren’t very skilled at it tolerate this mortifying verbal abuse just so they can get kills, and many of them end up doing the same thing later on when they take learners (IF they take learners, a big if).

It’s absolutely disgusting.

I want to make a change.

This clan exists because I want to revolutionize the high-tier PvM community.

I want to bring in a new age of PvM, where the people are respectful, helpful, and actually enjoyable to talk to. I want to end the exclusivity of high-level PvM, and foster a community where players can learn and teach in a low-pressure, fun environment. I want everyone in our community to be better than me at PvM. I want the toxic crowd to become the minority in the PvM world and eventually go away forever. And most importantly, I want this new wave of players to be decent human beings to each other.

If you want to be part of our cool community, if you want to have exciting moments bossing learning and/or teaching, and if you want to be part of the change I want to make in the PvM world, then I invite you to join us.

How To Join

- Read the first page of this thread.
- Copy and paste the application you see in the last post on the first page into a new post and answer the questions.
- Guest our clan chat, “Cursed Combatants” and ask for an invite to your new clan!

If you do not like filling out forms, you can contact any admin+ in clan. They will ask you if you read the entire first page of this thread, and ask you to ensure you agree to our clan rules. If you have, you can join! Please be sure you have read this page if you want to join!

Clan Rules
- Follow all Jagex rules.
- Don’t be a dick.
- Unless otherwise agreed upon by all in group, split all loot drops.
- Do not ask for trust trades or loans of items or money from *anyone* in clan chat or in our Discord. Do not PM our clan guests to borrow money. Do not go into clan chat and ask for a “cheap bond”. Don't message me on Discord asking to borrow my nox bow. Do not add other clan members as friends, then later ask them to buy you stuff when you are talking in public chat. DO NOT ASK.
- If someone asks you for money or item loans, please tell me. We’ve had problems where one person would ask 10 people and then quickly get 200m out of clan members and guests, and then leave the clan or scam half of them.
- Comply with admin+ requests. If you are asked to drop a topic, do it. Don’t argue, don’t try to belligerently get the last word in, etc. You will be removed for not complying. I trust our admins to be fair and enforce rules in good faith and with good judgment.
- If any problems arise with others in clan chat or Discord, please take screenshots if possible of the chat and send them to the highest ranking clan member online. You may also wait and inform me directly if you want. We want everyone to be treated fairly and with respect, and part of our role as leaders is to make sure that stays consistent in our community.

Clan Chat/Discussion Rules

#1 Rule: Respect for all others. If you are the type of person to grief others, scam, do shady stuff, cause drama or contribute to drama, directly insult or attack people, indirectly/low-key imply someone else is dumb/bad/stupid/garbage/worthless, if you think telling someone “kill yourself” is an acceptable thing to say, this is not the clan for you.

At the same time, we don’t have to be stupidly polite or Goody Two-Shoes.

Topics allowed in clan chat (banter, PG-13 jokes, and serious discussion are okay):

- Sex
- Religion
- Politics

If you are unable to participate in these discussions without getting vulgar or abrasive, better just to not talk about them. We do not have a blanket rule against these topics because I believe that in general, people are mature enough and have the good sense to know when they might cross the line.

Topics that *are not* allowed in clan chat

- Dark shit (for example, terrorism jokes, gore, necrophilia)
- Racial slurs
- Criminal activity
- Anything against RS rules
- Topics that could reasonably be considered shocking/disturbing by a reasonable, not-overly-sensitive person
- suicide jokes
- flaming, abusive language, griefing
- referring to stuff as “cancer” “Downs” “AIDS” "autistic" etc.

I have very little tolerance for people who repeatedly press the boundaries of what is acceptable and what isn’t. I will remove people for being edgy. If you are the type of person to actively try to shock or offend people for your own amusement, this is not the clan for you. Assholes not welcome. I have instructed our admin team to get rid of this type of person quickly.

Clan Chat/Discussion Rules, continued

Here are some examples of acceptable and unacceptable. It’s tough for me to write out unacceptable examples, but these are similar to things people have said, and I want to be clear that it isn’t allowed, even as a joke:

Acceptable:

- Wump bb u make my dragon dagger into a dlong ;)
- Some people don’t try bacon for religious reasons, I don’t try religion for bacon reasons.
- #Hillary4Prison2016
- If I were to turn gay, how many gay guys do you think I could bang in a week?
- I’d vote for a bag of dog poop before I vote for Trump
- Libertarianism isn’t really a viable political philosophy
- Why are there so many religions?
- Trump would be the worst president in history, RIP America
- eat a dick wump

So as you can see, topics are fine as long as they are discussed maturely and without being disrespectful. PG-13 banter is fine.

Not acceptable

- Kill yourself
- Wow agility training is so slow I’m gonna kill myself
- Trump is being too nice, instead of banning all Muslims why doesn’t he just kill them all
- My dad says he likes the way my butt feels on his face
- What’s the best bot program to use to not get caught autoclicking Seren stones?
- This guy scammed me, someone help me scam him back
- Really wish I knew where you lived so I could burn your house down
- Dungeoneering is cancer
- Wow our base tank is downy af
- Why are lesbians so autistic
