Introduction

The Yikes Clan was founded on October 17th, 2019 by Maux and his co-leaders: Im Dobby, M D, Smeck, and The Five-O.

We founded on the simple principle of creating a space that would advance the community of RuneScape forward and provide a home for players of all mindsets. Our staff consists of experts in the field of PvM, Skilling, Achievements, and Event Hosting. If you choose to guest or become a member of our clan, you will not lack a path to pursue your specific RuneScape interests, and you may even find some refreshing exposure to areas of the game you are not as familiar with!

Our clan seeks to be supportive of all walks and ideologies when it comes to the game we all love, and we are always doing our best to be welcoming to any ideas for clan improvements, whether it be the way we do something or the events we may host! Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of our leaders for any suggestions or questions you may have on the clan or RuneScape in general! We will always do our best to accommodate.

Clan Rules

These rules are here for a guideline of what we view as acceptable and unacceptable behavior within the Yikes Clan. In actuality, we simply ask our Members and Guests treat one another with the same decency and respect that you yourselves wish to be treated in. Let's remember that RuneScape is a game and we are all simply here to unwind, enjoy ourselves, and build community!

Rules:
• Official RuneScape Rules apply.

• No discussion or advertising for RWT or Games of Chance at any time.

• Absolutely no discussion on religion, politics, real life financial status, or cultural bashing will be tolerated.

• The clan expects both members and guests to treat one another with due respect and decency.

- Disagreements are fine, but know when to stop. If asked to stop, and feel the need to continue, please take it to FC or PM.

- If a member asks you to take any conversation to private PM or FC, please do so.

- If a conversation in CC is making you uncomfortable and don't want to admit it in CC, please notify a higher rank to take action.

- Toxicity will not be tolerated.

- Bullying, harassment, flaming, or elitism towards learners in teams or players in general will not be tolerated.

- Trolling after being asked to stop will not be tolerated.

- Excessive reports will be reviewed and any abuse of the reporting system will not be tolerated.

Clan Rules [cont.]

• Accidental deaths caused by someone do not need to be paid for. The person responsible is able to offer, you are not able to demand.

• No PKing clan members or guests.

- Do not feed world numbers to other PKers.

- PKers will have action taken against them. Please send screen shots or any other proof to a staff member.

• The selling of boss kills is not allowed to clan members.

- We aim to help members with boss kills for free. We can and are willing to introduce people to PvM.

• Item scamming will result in a ban.

- Please provide proof if item scamming happens. Reports received both externally and internally will be reviewed.

• Staff ranks were placed in confidence.

- If you feel a staff member is overstepping or targeting you, please message a leader you are most comfortable in approaching.

• Citadel capping is not mandatory, yet encouraged.

- If you are unsure what is needed outside of your personal experience gain, please ask an Admin+.

Clan Ranks

The Yikes Clan strives to have its ranking structure be managed in such a way that it allows its members to be able to feasibly obtain recognition for both their loyalty and their activity and accomplishments within the clan. While the ranks of Recruit through General are granted with time or experience in clan, we also place great efforts in distinguishing members on an accelerated path should they stand out to us as especially dedicated members. The qualities we evaluate in making such decisions are members who:
• Are especially active in the clan
• Are willingly helpful to other clan members inquiries and needs
• Participate within Clan Events
• Help Run Clan Events
• Recruit meaningful and new and members to the clan
• Helps report and/or moderate conversation, within reason, when conflict arises
• Are not involved in any sort of toxic behavior that may bring detrimental effects should they obtain a certain rank

While we do examine for all of these, we certainly do not expect any one member to possess every quality and make an effort to promote fairly. We are not perfect nor omnipresent, so if you feel a certain member should obtain more recognition, please let a leader know!

Recruit

• This rank is obtained by joining the clan.

Corporal

• This rank is obtained by being in the clan for 2 weeks or gaining 50 million experience while in the clan.

Sergeant

• This rank is obtained by being in the clan for 1 month or gaining 100 million experience while in the clan.

Lieutenant

• This rank is obtained by being in the clan for 3 months or gaining 200 million experience while in the clan.

Captain

• This rank is obtained by being in the clan for 6 months or gaining 300 million experience while in the clan.

Clan Ranks [cont.]

General

• This rank is obtained by being in the clan for 9 months or gaining 500 million experience while in the clan.

Admin

• This rank is bestowed after a vote among clan leadership. Members with this rank are expected to have at least some of the traits listed above in the description. The trait most predominantly sought for within an Admin of the Yikes Clan is the ability to stay calm and level-headed during the moderation of our chatting platforms. Admins are entrusted with the ability to mute both members and guests within the clan and Discord chat.

Organizer

• This rank is bestowed after a vote among clan leadership. Members with this rank are expected to have a good portion of the traits listed above in the description. The trait most predominantly sought for within an Organizer of the Yikes Clan is the ability to assist in both the chat moderation of the Clan as well as the co-hosting of events or the creative thinking and efforts put into them. Organizers are also entrusted with the ability to mute both members and guests within the clan and Discord chat.

Coordinator

• This rank is bestowed after a vote among clan leadership. Members with this rank are expected to have almost all of the traits listed above in the description. The trait most predominantly sought for within a Coordinator of the Yikes Clan is the ability to take full control of high-stress situations in chat moderation as well as being the main host or coordinator of Clan events and competitions. Coordinators are entrusted with the ability to mute both members and guests within the clan and Discord chat, as well as granted the ability to kick guests from the clan to assist in chat and event regulation.

Clan Ranks [cont.]

Overseer

• This rank is bestowed after a vote among clan leadership. Members with this rank are expected to have all of the traits listed above in the description. The trait most predominantly sought for within an Admin of the Yikes Clan is the ability to have full trust and confidence within them to perform any duty of the ranks below them. Overseers are entrusted with the ability to mute both members and guests within the clan and Discord chat, kick guests from the clan chat, and kick up to (1) member from the clan chat per day in the event of an emergency where a leader is not present.

Deputy Owner

• This rank is bestowed after a vote among clan leadership and a direct approval from our leader, Maux. These members should be above reproach in all that they do and are responsible in managing the behind the scene operations of the clan, the welfare and general happiness of the clan's members and guests, and any duty assigned to all ranks below them. The current members of this rank are Im Dobby, M D, Smeck, and The Five-O.

Clan Events

The Yikes Clan is a brand new clan, so we are seeking to grow our base and hear what our members are looking for in our events. Currently, we plan to model our rotation with (1) week of skilling focused events and (1) week of PvM focused events with (1) week of a break after each.

If you have any suggestions or requests of the type of events you wish to see, please contact any of our Key Ranks without hesitation!
