I think newer members, or people who havent been in a clan may not understand it is a joke intime.

My husband wanted us to tell people we were closing the clan but I told him the problem is, people may actually believe it, and leave before they realize it is a joke.

I think having messages like that would endanger clans. It'd be akin to a large corporation announcing they're shutting down oh wait - April Fools! It'll create panic and ultimately harm the affected clans. What I'd like to suggest instead are hilarious yet non-harmful messages sent to clanmates. These messages would work similarly to Ports voyage messages, so for example:

- The Captain of the Guard is drunk again
- The Citadel has flown into a large flock of birds again
- The Citadel is currently doing battle with the elusive sky pirates
- The Scribe is currently giving out phr33 st00f in the clan camp, go check it out! (gives Vexillums) @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape
