I feel like at the very least we should be able to extend avatar wardens to generals. I would like to give some people temporary access without making them an administrator. Ideally the job should have no rank restrictions.

Great idea, I wonder why nobody had thought of this before!

In order for this to be possible the clan permissions would need to be rewritten, which isn't going to happen currently.

Its part of the clan permissions rewrite which is being worked at on and off, i think it could be part of the ninja team help recently though.

If we could take permissions away from the Admin rank, such as kicks, changing ranks, etc, I feel that would be a better solution to allow for Admin to remain an "Avatar rank" rather than extend Avatar permissions to General or other lower ranks. ~ Sicariu

Yeah, I just wanted to emphasize on that aspect.

It's too bad the Permissions Rework was never completed in its entirety, or else this wouldn't be an issue now, but I understand that this update was massive and too ambitious for the available resources allocated to clans.

Just thought I'd add some stuff,

It cannot be physically given to general ranks as summoning the avatar is altering citadel code which is something only admin+ ranks and above have been coded as Mod Maz has said in the past.

The below is what the clan permission was going to do for my clan and many like so the admin rank could become the "Avatar Rank" without the abilities so General 2.0 if you like.
