I thought that members would have to renew their weekly buffs by clicking on the Avatar Control Stone at the citadel each week. Most members did this right after the update (over a week ago & prior to latest tick) and haven't returned to the stone since that time. Their buff icons haven't changed, still showing 3-6%. The buff appears to be permanent rather than requiring a weekly renewal.

you have the option to switch between the skill buff of 3 % to 6 % or skill plot which is 50 % when capping at citadel, both are permament but option to switch between the 2 at anytime and at any citadel control stone as a guest etc

Thanks, but that was not my question. I want to know why no one has to renew their buff weekly at the stone. The original news broadcast said:

Clan Avatar Rework - This update will allow you to summon your very own personal Clan Avatar, no longer will your clan be limited to three Avatars! You can now activate your weekly buff at your Avatar Control Stone located near your Avatar Habitat, ...whichever buff you choose lasts a week and can be switched out and/or renewed at any time .

Some clan members haven't visited the citadel in over a week and did not earn fealty during the week after the update, but they still have an icon showing a 6% buff.

I thought this update might get a few stragglers to the citadel weekly to easily renew their buff at the stone. Instead, now they don't even have an inducement to go there to pay orts or renew anything.

To be fair, you didn't ask a question. It came across as you informing people that the buff didn't need to be renewed.

As to what you're actually wondering, there was talk during the first few days of the update when some clans' citadel were ticking over that their buff had gone down to 5%, even after they capped, but renewing the buff at the stone placed it back up to 6%.

So it would seem that some people's buff does degrade weekly while some retain the 6% full buff? In that case, it may be a bug, which should be fixed. Owner of

I did get a message in chat when my weekly buff expired last weekend. I was in the Citadel, shortly after our build tick when it happened. Not sure if being in the Citadel had anything to do with the message triggering.

I also think that the buff extends to a full week each time you click the stone. So in essence, you could activate your buff, then activate it again shortly before it runs out to gain another week? This can come in handy if you visit the Citadel early one week but know you can't visit again until later the following week. I've not had a chance to test though as my schedule lately has been a bit wonky.

There is indeed a slight issue with the buff timer.

Mod Easty kindly had a look for me and we have a fix in to make it actually remove after 7 days, when it's released it'll work properly :) Mod Shauny - RuneScape Community Management - Goebies! - @JagexShauny

Thanks Shauny. The icon has not been degrading for anyone in my clan who I have talked to regardless of whether or not they went to the citadel. They still have an active buff from their last visit about August 1--more than two weeks ago.
