Hey guys, I'm the leader of the clan Heart of silver and I was randomly kicked from the clan chat without an explanation what so ever at around 7:43pm... and I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem or if there is a fix underway.

Another clannie also had a similar problem where he was kicked but unfortunately we brushed it off as a joke - I got a screen shot of the chat below

Yeah I was kicked from the clan channel but rejoined and asked if anyone else had similar problem, I wish I took a clearer screen shot when it happened

Also I was not on the clan chat tab I simply climbed down a rope to show a fellow clannie the altar under the digsite when it occurred also was not in a guest chat channel

Getting kicked from a clan chat channel is the same as getting kicked from a friends chat; it's a one hour kick & temp ban that can't be circumvented. (You can circumvent the ban in a friend chat by having everyone leave it, thus canceling it out, and having everyone rejoin, but that's not relevant to clan chat channels.)

You can't get kicked from a clan chat channel of a clan you are in, only guests can be kicked from a channel. So, it appears that you were kicked from a clan chat that you were a guest in. ~ Sicariu

Hey guys for the last time I was NOT in a guest clan chat... in fact the picture I uploaded clearly said CC - Clan Chat, and no I did not leave I simply climbed down a rope and got that message and even if I left I would not get the kicked message - in fact I tried joining clan channel myself after the kick message showed up I spam clicked the join button to get back in (So I am 100% positive I somehow got kicked from my own clan channel)

In fact I logged in today trying to join a guest clan to test the theory but I could not reproduce the message that I was kicked from the clan channel, I even looked at the ALL game section and did not find a message there - I have uploaded the full picture below when I got kicked as well as another picture to confirm I got kicked - I failed to produce that kick message.

After I clicked the small arrow by one of my clan members name and clicked the Temp kick button but said only admins can remove a clan mate (can't temporarily kick someone out of the clan chat - Which is what happened to me above)

If you think you can please try and reproduce that "You have been kicked from clan channel" message and upload so I can see where I had got wrong. Thank you

Uh, you were guesting in another clan's chat channel.

In the first screenshot on log in, you're getting the message "that clan only allows clanmates to join their clan channel." You need to go to the guest CC tab and leave (even though you're not actually in it.)

Since you joined another guest clan chat to test your claims, you should be ok now. Though, I'm wondering why you got no message at all for being kicked from the channel you were guesting in. You're supposed to get one. (might be in the game messages you had filtered)

As I said in my previous post, it's not possible to kick someone from your own clan from the chat channel. And, it's not possible to kick anyone, anywhere who is a higher rank than you. With you as the clan owner, nothing about this situation makes sense if you were kicked from your own clan chat by someone else. That's not possible to recreate because you cannot kick a clan member from the chat channel.

I'm honestly pretty confused by this myself. Unless there was a bug where a game mechanic forced you out of your clan's chat channel, the scenario as you've described it is impossible.


I asked one of my clan members to join our channel as a guest on their alt account, kick it, and send me a screenshot of the chat box. This is what I got:


Notice the chat message is the same after getting kicked as you got.

Sometimes the message doesn't show up, but that is the message for kicking someone from a Guest channel.

You may have joined a Guest Clan Chat awhile ago and forgot about it. I've done that before and had the Guest CC chat toggled off in my chat box (couldn't see chat), so the only way I would've known that I was in there was to click the circle in the Clan Chat tab. I had the "That clan only allows clanmates to join their clan channel" message popping up on log in for awhile (thinking it was a bug) before I found the issue and fixed it. This was years ago though.

Either way, this shouldn't be something to worry about. Ask anyone in your clan to try to kick you, whether it be from the clan or the chat channel, and it won't work. ;) ~ Sicariu
